I consider myself a storyteller. so I blog about my personal stories and I give my personal take on life.
I also like throwing in some subtle jokes every now and again. :)
I general most of my posts are about either food or are reviews of books and movies. I do write about a lot else, but those types of posts are there a lot.
I blog about people. My life's about people, so I try to highlight those people when I write.
I will say this...blogging, in terms of writing a personal blog, is not about what you tell your readers about your life. It's about how you present the stories that happen to you. It's not about What happened to you, it's about How what happened to you looked from inside your head. And your heart.
You think? I still need to write my post about dog poop first!
Seriously, I'm writing about that because I want to test myself. A good writer can take any topic, even the most mundane topic, and hold a reader's attention if it's written well. Or so I'm hoping I can do with dog poop.
I usually share stuff I find online or anywhere else. If I'm feeling enlightened I'd do an insightful post about what life has been like so far, like when I encounter challenges and how I help myself get through it.
I'm a personal blogger. Lots of stories and puppy photos on my blog.
I do notice that body image and relationship drama get higher numbers in comments on my blogs. I wouldn't suggest just writing about those things though to get more comments. It all depends on your readership and in what ways they feel they relate to you.
