The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Although I know this is a free-reign forum and everyone is encouraged to express themselves, every time I saw that someone else added a comment to "What Do You HATE about other blogs" I couldn't help but feel a little bit angry about it.

Most of us here in the Blogosphere love to read each other's blogs - and the one's we don't exactly care for, we don't read. I don't send "I hate your blog" e-mails to people, so why do an "I Hate Your Blog" thread?

So, instead of ranting anymore about it, I wanted to start a thread about what you LOVE about other blogs.

Feel free to give the specifics, bloggers you like, kinds of blogs you like, etc.

Let's focus on the positive!

I love that KT at "This Life of Mine" always has a quote about her situation that makes it so much more relate-able. PLUS her story of triumph and survival over Cervical Cancer is an inspiration to me every day.
I always found that thread a bit presumptive. Way too much hate and the energy spent wasting on blogs seemed ridiculous.

I started blogging in college, not inclusive of high school live journals. What I liked about blogging when I started my freshman year of college was reading blogs by people totally different than myself, people from all over the world and of all ages. Including 70 year old poets, artists and writers of stories and so on and so forth. It's what I like about it still. I can find people like myself everyday at work, school and in my neighborhood, but blogging brings me to people I'd otherwise have never read, met or listened to.
I like my blog because it's almost like it says exactly what I'm thinking. Just kidding Katie, it's been a while since I've slept and, well, you know me...

I like people that have the ability to express a clear, concise and well represented opinion. Even if I don't necessarily agree with the opinion. Have you ever tried arguing with someone who just throws illogical or dilluted thoughts and facts around like they'd hold any weight in reality? I once read someone's blog who was ranting about gun control. I don't have a strong enough opinion either way on gun control, so you'd figure I'd be somewhat of a "target audience", eh? Thing is, nothing he said swayed me one way or the other. And I also never read his blogs again.

But, honestly, I do like mine.
I like people who speak their mind. People that are strong enough to stand up to the backlash that is sure to follow from voicing their thoughts so freely and openly with the world.

And at the same time, people who aren't afraid to expose themselves - to be vulnerable and real and loveable.

Penelope Trunk's blog comes to mind, from her post about a miscarriage to a post about getting engaged and being nervous about the decision. http://blog.penelopetrunk.com
i LOVE when people tell about themselves. their real story. like so blessed or whatever that website is, i can't stand. she totally gets on my nerves, which is why i don't read it. but i love when you get to know someone and it's them. they don't have to tell you everything about themselves... like dooce.com or myteacupsinpeony.blogspot.com love them. [i have a list of these ladies on my blog if any of you like what i mentioned above]
i love different blogs for different reasons honestly. it makes me laugh, makes me remember, i like their writing style and can relate since it sounds like something i'd think or say, or i just like them and feel like we could have been friends. depnds on the blog. i like the blogs whre they write when they have something to say and don't worry about whether the reader thinks it's worth saying.

i guess i like people who have Voice. if they sound watered down, whatever they are talking about is not nteresting to me. if i can hear their voice i will probably be interested in it whatever the topic. well, unless it's a blog fully dedicated to something i dont like reading about, like golf. :)
I like this discussion much much more than the "what do you HATE about other blogs" topic. Let's focus on the good things!

I really enjoy completely honest and open people, who share their stories with everyone. I like reality- not the fake reality shown on reality TV. I like the real reality. The thing with open and honest people is that their blog is 100% real. Others can relate to them. And they take the heat from haters, no matter what. If someone doesn't agree with them, they don't care. They keep writing the way they want to write. They spill their deepest thoughts and emotions, regardless of how others may judge.
That is the kind of blog I love.

There's just so many good ones out there. I can't possibly single any one or even ten blogs out! :)
I love people that are real and easy to relate to. I also like when people are straight forward and say what's up instead of making you guess what they're talking about...
I love bloggers who post photos in their entries--whether it is a picture of their dog or something artisitic, I like seeing something with what I'm reading.
Then u'll love me Holly. lol. I guess im like u too - i love to read stuffs with pictures in them.

In relation to the topic, i guess like the rest of you guys here, I love blogs that connect and talk to me. Somehow i can feel a difference when bloggers blog for the sake of blogging and those that blog because they want to. I like it when someone talks about their problems or thoughts or anything that inspires and move. I love it when there's a purpose behind every entry - whether its things that one can learn from, mistakes that I can learn from and avoid doing, and stuffs like that.

I've yet to read the "What do you HATE about other blogs" but I guess for every blog that i like, there will be a couple more that I not like. I'm sure there's a thing or two that we can learn a thing or two from the other discussion too.
I agree, Holly. I love imagery to go with words. :)
Ah, yes! I love talking about the good.

I still see myself as relatively new to the blogosphere, or whatever you want to call it, so I don't have a lot of blogs that I feel I need to check everyday.

That's not to say I haven't seen some posts that I LOVE! Snappy, right-to-the-point, and lighthearted blogs make me smile. People that have had a bad day, or maybe they messed up. Their reaction? 'Oh I FAIL so I'm going to tell you about it, so you can laugh with/at me!" I've always seen myself as that type too, but I LOVE to read the stories! Optimism is a plus and completely off the wall posts are often my favorites.

My favorite blog is actually a blog/comic strip called lil' Formers (the name comes from Transformers.) The blog isn't limited to that though. The author is funny and quite random in his posts, not to mention the amazing comic that's such a treat.

Another blog I've been reading a lot of lately is stephanywrites.blogspot.com who is a member here. I love reading her posts. A recent post about her love of the "idea of running" is one of my personal favorites. (Mostly, because I can totally relate.)
