The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hey!

Huh, haven't hanged out here in a really long time. Haven't blogged in a really long time either. But at one point i started thinking, that thanks to my blogging/twittering/facebooking/blogtv'ing ways, so many things have happened to me. Good things. I have met friends who are not just people who read my blog or tweets.. but whome i REALLY care for, ..

.. I would have never met them if I hadn't been my blog.

Funny thing, I have met almost all of my boyfriends one way or the other on the internet. (i mean ex-boyfriends).

So what has blogging brough to your life? Anyone special? A new job? Nothing? Share :)

It has been therapeutic for me. It's where I can complain about anything from my boyfriend to society to everything I hate about myself, and it's where I can let my love for life spill out. I am a pretty reserved person in real-life so I like being able to open up to strangers on the internet. I love internet friends.
Heartache. Annoyance. But some cool people.

And still a venue to write.

When you have to write, you have to write.
I've had a LJ for nine years now, and some of the closest people in my life came from there.

Its strange how much the internet has influenced our generation.
I am always on the verge of ditching it all together, but its become such a necessary function now, I think I'd still need it for some very basic life things.
Well, blogging hasn't brought anyone special into my life, but the internet did, seven years ago. ^_^ My wife and I met online! Going on three years married!

Blogging has brought to me different countries, cultures and ways of life. Plus friends, from literally all over the world. I follow some AMAZING bloggers, from New York to Washing, to the UK to New Zealand!

I enjoy blogging for that reason. However, I also love expressing myself through words, whether I'm blogging a daily meme or blogging about something important like LGBTQ issues or my religion (Wicca.) Plus, as I hope to become a professional artist, I share my art often. 1. Because it's fun and I love getting comments on my art and 2. You never know when someone may see something I make and go "I want that!" ^_^
I agree with veggies on one thing - it's very therapeutic. I've always liked writing and I love English. (I'm a horrible speller though) yet I'm anal about someone's bad grammer or lack of. I like that I have something that I can update when I want, it doesn't cost me a penny to maintain, when I see the amount of followers go up, it makes me smile. It makes me feel good and it shows me that people are ACTUALLY reading my blog (or at least I hope so) plus I enjoy it more than facebook.

I got rid of facebook simply because I have finals to study for this week, but that aside, my blog is something I can't see myself without. It's become a part of me and it's something I really do enjoy.

Plus, by having this site, I've met some nice people (whether I talk to thim often or not at all) it's nice knowing I have them and this little community.

I think I have rambled on too much for now....sorry.

Blogging is a wonderful way for me to just get out anything I need to get out, whether I'm sad, angry, happy or anything in between. And it's also a way for me to write, which is something I love more than anything.

I recently went through a major upheaval with my friendships and for awhile I honestly felt like the only person I really had in my life was my husband. Blogging has been such a good way for me to meet new people and make new friends. And honestly, that is my very favorite thing about the blog world.
I got clients, good friends, fellow dreamers and project builders to work with, anchors in faraway cities, and they all came from here. So, naturally, to give back, I became part of the 20SB team. It was only right. :)
I can honestly say I have met some very cool people, best friends, and gained amazing insight through blogging. I also have gained some mental relaxation and coherence in thought through expressing myself online.
Yay! :) I'm happy that Blogs have brought so much joy to people writing them. And yes, I agree also that it's so wierd how our society is somehow slowly starting to depend on the internet. Which, I am not even sure is good or bad. Actually from my point of view, I don't see anything bad of that, besides maybe .. that, there is so much less face to face communication, and more people having Facebook parties.

At the same time. How can you meet up with someone if they live 100000000 km away. So you blog and twitter and do other stuff, and you are instantly connected. So that compensates it.
Connections. Beautiful connections that I care about deeply. Also, a therapeutic space where I can express myself.
Before blogging I never really read blogs. I have to say that's my favorite thing blogging has brought to me. All these amazing blogs that I read for hours, that I would've never found otherwise.
It has brought me a whole lot of entertainment, and also great ways to save money and new ideas! I love blogging!
