I hate watching the news and reading newspapers so I really struggle when it comes to things going on in the world. I was just wondering how well do you keep up with the news and what is going on in the world around you?

I'm good at keeping up with national news, especially political news, but not so good about keeping up with international news. I've just gotten into the habit of visiting a lot of news sites when I'm making my way around the internet. Most of my news comes from the internet.

i use newser too. I keep up with local news reading the paper, i have to admit that i'm not as great with the international news as I would like to be, but i'm not completely ignorant about what is going on in the world.

i don't keep up with it very well. i don't read newspapers, usually because of the awful writing. i'm no writer, but reading pages upon pages of horrendous writing is torture. i just clip the coupons out and recycle. and, our area has a local news station on tv that i'll watch on occasion. but even that can be depressing. for example: last night, an 8 year old boy crossing our main highway in town was struck by a car and killed, walking home from a church trick or treating event. i'd just rather not know.
