The Bloggers With The Most To Say

What do you consider to be too many posts in a day? In a week? In a month? Do you find yourself reading less if they post more than that amount?

And on the opposite side of the spectrum - What do you consider to be too few posts in a week or a month? Do you find yourself reading less if they post less than that amount?

My personal goal is to post around 3-4 times a week. This is enough so that I don't feel overwhelmed to be posting every single day but also regular enought to let people know I am serious. That's my own personal aspiration, anyway!

As far as other blogs go, if someone is posting every day, I might end up missing a few. However, I always try to catch up on all the blogs I really enjoy, even if I've missed a few days. I'd rather someone post a few meaningfull, thought-out posts per week than a rushed post every single day. I don't mind waiting! :)
I agree. I've un-subscribed from blogs that don't post regularly, too. Unless it's a blog I really love, and they've let their readers know that they are taking a blogging break. I will definitely wait for them to come back. :)
I try to post everyday but I don't mind if it's every other day. Once a week pushes it a bit, and if I post twice in one day then I do morning and evening :)

If I like someones writing style then I look forward to getting their once weekly updates. If they post every 5 hours then I usually delete them because it annoys me. I normally check the blogs on my feeder to see how long ago they updated - if it was 2 months ago then I'll delete them. Too little and you feel like you don't really get know a blogger, too much and they just become annoying.
I try to post everyday and not go more than two consecutive days not posting.

Sometimes I post mutiple posts a day and that's only if I have baby photo updates.

There is a blog I follow (nonsociety jordan reids) and sometimes I have 20 posts a day from her and I don't mind them because they're baby updates.
I follow Julia Allison and yeah, I agree, I don't mind hers because usually it's just a photo and a sentence which doesn't really count! But I can't read tech blogs because my brain explodes.
yeah exactly! i follow julia too and same thing. that's how i justify sometimes doing 3 a day hehe
i try to post once a day. i've always read that posting as often as possible, no matter what it is, is better than nothing. i don't like posting just whatever though.
I like blogs that post at least once a week. If they post less than that, then I wonder "Well, is it worth subscribing or coming back? Maybe they aren't blogging anymore..." So with some regularity is good.

I try to blog at least 3 times a week, but I am aiming for 5 times a week in the new year. It really does help build readership. and as far as having a well-thought out post, well, I'm learning to not always rely on my own life for inspiration. Today I blogged about a news article on social media that I read and wanted to talk about. Nothing to do with what's going on in my life and so that helped. And I also try to blog in advance now. If the mood strikes, I'll try to blog 2 or 3 posts and keep them saved so I'm not rushing to get something out. But if I really REALLY don't have anything to say, then I'd rather just not blog than do bullet posts or post "I'm really busy, come back tomorrow."
No such thing as a perfect amount. I think it depends entirely on the content and subject matter. If someone can post legitimately non-filler posts every day, then I'll read them. However, I prefer a few solid posts in a week (or month) to more trivial posts every few hours. That clogs up my reader.
One post a day is fine. That way, your readers can have something new to read everyday.
My posts are rather irregular, so I'm definitely not speaking about myself here. But when someone posts EVERY day, MULTIPLE times a day, there's a good chance I'm marking many of those as read without ever glancing in the post's direction. I don't want my Reader completely filled by one person. It's a bit too much.
It depends on your content. For example, if your blog is titled "dollar a day," then clearly the goal is to post every day. I personally try to post every-other-day, since my blog is about eating in NYC- and I eat 3 times a day! For some other blogs, once a week is fine. I wouldn't go more than a week without blogging, in fear I'd lose my audience.
