I'm fairly new here - but you can just check out my blog to find out more about me (http://inhertwoshoes.com).
I've been in a bit of a blog rut this month, so I want to make it a goal for myself to write at least one post a day this month. Even if that doesn't happen, I'll still be motivated to write more than the 3 I did in August! For shame!
What are your blogging goals this month? Let's use this forum to keep each other on track, cheer each other, and voice what we like about everyone's blogs!
I'm not sure that I've ever set monthly goals before. I think more short-term, like how many posts do I think I can handle this week. Sometimes I post everyday in a week. Sometimes I go a few days between. Because I just did a small remodel and renamed my blog (was ChubbO Chubbington, now Wonju Wife), I'd like to begin to take my posts in a direction that will appeal to more people (not just the ChubbOs!) I'd also like to work on keeping up with themes I've started or series I've created. So, inspired by this discussion, I promise to post two blogs this month that continue series I have already begun. Yay for new goals!

Hm...well. I should have a goal in terms of how often I post, but I usually just post whenever I have the time.
I'd have to say that my (longterm) goal is to improve my writing. Looking back at my old posts (I had another blog previous to this one), I now shake my head. My writing was so horrible! It's interesting to see how one's writing style evolves as time goes on.
My short term goals? I want to engage the reader more. I rate this on a few different statistics - how many readers I have (not many, if you were interested in knowing), how many people visit my site, and how many comments I get.

So I don't really have a readership goal. I do keep track of it but it doesn't discourage me. I'm a giant documenting fiend so I'll be happy just prattling away to myself. It's become a lifestyle/habit that I can't break.

the whole blogging idea was a goal to learn how to trust ! I don't talk about my issues to anyone even my best friend as soon as we talk I change the subject to runaway from myself.. so it's a baby-step to share & trust then act what I learn in real life
I have a bit of a risky goal for this month. Since I want my career to be in copywriting (full-time blogging, eventually) I feel like I need to get as much content out there now as possible. I've been writing between 2-5 articles every day across 4 blogs, but I plan on adding more by the end of the month.
It's a bit tough, but I love communicating. Until I can develop the credibility as a writer (and a strong style that is unique) I need to just write like crazy. That's the only way to practice this sort of thing.
To accomplish this goal, I've actually started a Writing Experiment on my site for bloggers to join in on (you guys should definitely check it). Every day I publish a new topic for people to write about (myself included) to not just give people inspiration for what to write, but also bring them into a community of people who desire the same thing.
I realize that not everyone can write that much, and that's cool. But the option is always there, and the encouragement, and the community. Here's the link for more details: http://anotherguy.us/102/the-writing-experiment/
Anyway, so my blogging goal for this month? Well... there are only 5 days left. But in that time I plan on having at least 10 more articles written on my website alone, with another 5 on my company site and maybe 3-4 as a guest blogger at other places.
I had that same problem for a very very long time. I've actually been blogging for almost three years in different forms, but this latest creation has only been up for about 2 months (I pulled a lot of the articles off the old Joomla site, though).
When I finally realized that the important thing was for me to just keep writing, I stopped worrying about what platform was the slickest, had the most features, or whatever... it helps to know the purpose of the site. If having a site is a means to an end in itself... then we've missed the whole point of being bloggers.
Which, from what I understand, is to write more and more so as to be better understood.
If you get to join in, I'd be excited to read your blogs on the topic. Let me know if I can help you in any way. :)
