I'm a student at the moment but I'm currently working part time at a performing arts academy in admin :) I do eventually want to work in the entertainment industry, but not in education. It's boring, and the first thing the boss said to me was, "You can work here as long as you don't expect supervision, and understand that we won't have anything for you do do most of the time". I'm a volunteer but am expected to revamp their entire website, organise a team building day, and a huge fundraiser. So I really dislike my job.
me too! isnt it great? =]
Some people are really rocking the unemployed lifestyle. I just read a really great post about it actually.

Unemployment Sucks... But You Are Still Awesome!
I am a Support Worker for people with learning disabilities. I do love my job even though I'd probably earn more money sewing footballs for Nike. I'd say that I see it more as a career as I hope to become a manager within a year or two. The firm I work for is a private care firm in the small town where I live, they own about 15 houses all with between one and four service users who live there. I am based in a house with four guys in but I do move around a fair bit, which is good because it stops me from getting bored. Unfortunately I can't really speak about my job in my blog due to confidentiality issues, but I'll plug it anyway; http://acynicsviewoftheworld.blogspot.com/
I'm a product manager for an internet marketing company. I conceptualize websites. My job would be great if the company I worked for wasn't horrible. I don't plan on doing this for the rest of my life, I am only doing it to save money in order to start my own business.
Teaching grades 1 and 4. It's been the greatest, most wonderful thing I've ever done.
I'm a shampoo girl at a local hair salon. I'm in school working towards my master cosmetology diploma.
Is there some secret to the hair washing? It always feels so awesome!
Nothing right now. My wife and I do seasonal jobs, so we tend to be out of work during the winter.

We are, however, looking for something steady. And close to family. As our seasonal jobs tend to take us many, many hours away.
I'm a grad student and part time policy analyst for the commission on women in my county.
Kinder teacher. And after 5 years of teaching, I'm finally starting to realize why I love this profession.
I need to check out your blog then. I'm a first year teacher, 8th grade language arts in an inner city school.
