I love and follow bloggers who pen down their random thoughts or issues in their lives that had an impact or a change in some key part of life.
I personally like people who make mistakes, learn and live and have a positive passion for life and fellow people and the world.
The writing shouldn't preach but rather makes us to follow and learn.
And the expressions described in a simple and an engaging manner.
And the layout design, maybe it is my irritating hyper-concern for neatness, simplicity and organised arrangement, Blogs with such looks make me feel at home. :-)

I usually subscribe to a blog that I enjoy their writing; how they write, if they are witty, make a simple story sound amazing. Also, if their layout is cool and not hard to read (too dark is bad - at least for my bad eyes.) Also if they space out their writing, as in don't write in one long paragraph.
I personally look for something that gives me a blog boner, usually humor-related. The ones I like the most are the ones that make me have to call a physician because I've been blog-erect for over four hours.

I click the follow button if there is something original about the blog. It doesn't always have to be humorous or witty. The topic doesn't matter so much as long as the blog itself is well written.
I'm not one for reading long passages about other peoples lives - i like to see what someone has done and attempt to do it myself.
I don't like posts which are almost all pictures, but i do like one (or a few) pictures if they are relevant to the post.
I used to follow design blogs until I fond that a lot of them just copied pictures from other websites and hardly wrote anything about them... so now I always double check for real content before I folllow.
