The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I am always on 20sb in the middle of the night... when no one else is on lol! Anyway, I just wanted to know who actually uses polls to allow their readers to vote on what topics they wish the author would write about and if that really matters as it relates to the number of comments you obtain on those posts. You know, ultimately giving the reader what they want. I have never had a poll placed on my blog but I noticed that many of my posts that have lots of comments are about relationships, sex or how angry I am and the many ways I'd kill someone. My blog doesn't really have a focus point other than humor but I think most of my followers are a bunch of freaky deeky people lol. What topics have you written about that engaged your readers to write more than normal or ironically had the most comments? What do you think about your readers (i.e. like my freaky deeky ones lol)?

It was definitely when I was writing my NaNoWriMo novel. I had to password protect the posts due to a fellow noveller getting her posts lifted by someone else claiming them as theirs, but even with password protection, the novel still got a lot of comments compared to my other posts.

My list posts, and posts I kinda just throw together, tend to get the most comments. People like lists :)

And usually the post I put the most time/thought into gets overlooked. It's weird.

The topics where people feel compelled to share their own experiences get the most comments. For example, the post I wrote about gifted education got a lot of comments of people talking about their own education, the post I wrote about being told I'm too skinny got a lot of comments from people who'd had the same thing happen to them, and my post about changing my last name got a lot of comments from married women about whether they had taken their husband's last name.

The ones where I am overly awkward and nerdy. People really relate to that for some reason. Maybe it's because we're all on the Internet, so we're all that way, to a certain degree.

I've never used a poll. I like to write about what I want to write about and just hope my readers like it. :) I have noticed, though, that my posts about ballet get the most comments. Maybe because I am really passionate about ballet or because the pictures are pretty. I'm not sure, but either way, those posts definitely seem to be the most popular.

Whenever I talk shit or stereotype people, others like to chime in. Really showcases the best in all of us...

i tend to get comments on my posts about the guys i'm dating. i love that everyone is so very interested in how horrible my dates get.

I have noticed that fashion and beauty is a high topic for blogs. Also, making lists of anything works too.

Usually when I talk about random stuff. I just spit out my random thoughts and post. I have no idea because those are the ones I spend the least amount of time thinking of.
