The Bloggers With The Most To Say

What was the best birthday present you've ever recieved?

So my other half's birthday is coming up and usually I have no problem planning birthdays or special gifts but he has me completely stumped this time, and while I don't want to just get him another xbox game, it's heading towards that direction.

What was the most memorable gift that you've been given? What made it better than the rest?

That is too sweet! Are you guys still far away from eachother?
Yup..:) 3rd month of long distance..:)
That would be fun, but I agree that I probably missed the boat on timing that though haha. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone !

This is so geeky, but my most recent birthday gift has been the best, but there's a little story behind it. My husband is in law school and we have three kids, so money is... tight. I actually have forgone birthday/valentine's/anniversary presents because it's just not that important when compared with, you know, electricity and food and stuff. (Money's not that tight, but you get the idea.)

Anyway, my husband spent months scrapping together inconsequential amounts of money and hoarding it aside so that he could really splurge and buy my the entire series of The Gilmore Girls. He works at Best Buy part time, so he got a really good discount on it, but it still isn't something we could have afforded without months of forethought. For the first time since he gave me my engagement ring, I cried when he gave me something.

I guess it wasn't the gift, (although I've been watching those DVDs every single night!) so much as the immense amount of time and discipline that went into it... he had to skip a lot of vending machine Dr. Peppers at school!

that is so sweet..:)
