What's in a name?
What comes up if you google your name? Do you have any famous namesakes, or are you, like Chesney Hawkes, the one and only?
I have an ex-SAS author (who later committed suicide), one of the world's best mountainboarders and some spelling mistakes to compete with. I am not worthy.

Not only are there multiples of me, one of my namesakes is my sister-in-law. It makes Christmas and other family get-togethers awesome. :-/

When you google me, it's mostly me that comes up. Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn (which is funny because I think I've only logged in twice) and a WHOLE BUNCH of political crap. I swear, you'd think I'm actually interested in politics. So sad!

When I Google my name I receive more than 5 million hits! One of the top finds is a black belt academy. That must mean I'm a pretty cool guy.

It probably does, since "original" and "imagination" both have my name in the middle. AND my last name is the name of a very famous restaurant... but that wasn't on the first page of google... weird.

apparently there are quite a few people with my name, including the same middle initial. however, none of us seem to be doing anything super exciting - maybe it's the name!

My son was the New Year's Baby (first baby born after midnight on Jan 1st) this year, and a bunch of links to those news stories come up.
Usually, though, there is a pretty prominent lawyer in Massachusetts with my name. I bet she's pissed that when she Googles herself this nobody from Florida has 6 of the top 10 spots all of a sudden :)
