The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I just wrote about going to Woofstock on my blog. It's a big festival for rescued dogs and dogs that need adopting.

I've always wanted an English bulldog and a great dane. I need lazy dogs.

I think they would be so cute together but I hear they both have pretty serious health issues.

What's your dream dog(s) and why?

Do you have a preference for adoption or buying pure breeds?

a cat.

Jk, I love dachsunds and English Corgis. Elongated dogs are the best dogs. Sadly they do have a lot of health issues as well. The average max age of a blonde and dapple dachsund is 4 years less than a basic red dachsund. I think it's kinda cruel to breed dogs that are more popular when you know they're going to have serious health problems.
Haha exactly. I have a cat and I'm in love with it. I just don't have time for a dog right now. I agree with you, that is cruel, four years?!
I never would have said this before but since getting our toy poodle I love them. They are such happy little dogs, incredibly sweet and loving but also so much fun. Good personalities and also super smart.

I know a lot of people think toy poodle and they automatically think of a floofy, yippy dog. But at least with our dog and the other toy poodles I've met that's not the case. And we certainly do not have him cut to look poodle like (I'm pretty sure that would kill his dignity, hehe).

I'd eventually like to get a medium sized dog but for now we have 2 cats plus our pup so the zoo is full ;-)
Haha I love that you said that cut would kill his dignity. I can picture it now, haha.
I always wanted a golden retriever. I ended up getting a labrador retriever and I adore him. I think all breeds have their health problems. My dog is allergic to everything! At some point, I'd love to get St. Bernard or a bull dog. I went with a pure bred for my first dog, but now I'd love to adopt an older dog and give something back. People always want puppies but there are so many older dogs that need love! Plus, no housebreaking :)
So true! I heard labs are super hyper for the first few years but are the perfect dog afterwards, was yours hyper?
I want Coton de Tulears when I'm older, I met a few at Crufts and have been in love with them ever since! The grooming commitments are pretty mad to keep them in show coat but no more than what I have with my dog.

I have a bichon frise at the moment and would probably get another because of their personality!

The most amazing breed I have met was a Irish Water Dog, they are gorgeous and lovely temperaments!

I am a little dog obsessed!!! Or maybe a lot...If a guy doesn't like dogs I don't like them.
I had to google all those names but they are all so CUTE! I love the Irish Water Dog, how fuffy!
I just Googled them too and HOW CUTE! Now I want one!
I know! They are so gorgeous!!! The only downside is the amount of grooming but it's definitely worth it
I have a Bichon, too! She is the most amazing little dog I've ever had- incredibly intelligent and absolutely hilarious. My husband and I were swimming one afternoon, and in tears I said, we must have a dog! A few days later we were on our way to pick her up. My husband picked the breed, but I have never been more pleased. Prior to adopting Lily, I've had great danes, shih tzu's, and mixed breeds. I was a foster mom for a non-profit, too. To say that I'm obsessed with dogs just might me an understatement. They're the best!
I can't have a dog right now I am not home enough to care for one, it would be unfair. I grew up with a golden retriever, she moved with us to Australia and back again. I would like a golden doodle, they are relatively shed-less if you are lucky, smart and playful, very companionable and protective.
