The Bloggers With The Most To Say

A lot of my friends have been talking and blogging lately about their dream job, and I got to thinking about mine. Basically, my dream job is to be a musical theatre acting on Broadway. However, because theatre is not the most stable of jobs, the career I'm actually pursuing is broadcast journalism. In a sense, though, journalism has become my new dream, and I'm excited about it.

What about you? What is your dream job? What would you spend your life doing if nothing stood in the way? Are you doing that job, or pursuing it, or are you doing something completely different?

And not to be a shameless self-promoter, but I just posted about this on my blog and how I went from my musical theatre dream to where I am now, if you're interested.

how appropriate! in my google search bar: "how to become a disney princess"
Oh, man. I did a very similar thing to you. Wanted to be an actress, decided that was unlikely, and settled on television journalism. There the story digresses though. Freshman year of college, I decided I didn't like the odd hours for tv journalists and that while i loved writing, I hated being told what to write about or what to report on. Thus, I went with advertising intending to be a copywriter where the rules weren't quite so strict. Now I work with social media, and I'm pretty fond of it, but the daydreaming about being an actress will never go away.
I know, right? Acting will always be a huge part of me.

Glad you found something you like! I know what you mean about the weird hours. That'll definitely be something to get used to.
something with horses. preferably a ranch or riding school owner... I'd be more inclined to go the way of the ranch however. its my passion- I've been riding since I was 10 and hardly anything can keep me from it. At the moment unfortunately money and time restraints mean i don't get to ride as often as I'd like to but i would LOVE to find another job working at a barn somewhere and get back into that line of work- other than 3 of my jobs in the past, the rest have all included working with horses in some fashion or another.
When I was younger I loved horses, and I wanted to be a jockey. Then I was told I was too big. Sad day.
Meh,my ideal job would be sitting in an italian cafe, sipping latte and gazing at Italian Stallions thinking about book ideas =)
But that don't pay money,so a journalist maybe?
A Historian?hmm I'd love that. But thats kinda went and did itself in when I chose to study English lit.
Major in IR,and then work with the UN?

Nah,I go back to my original.Sip.Gaze.Write.Hm.
Hahaha, that would be an awesome job!
LOVE THIS.

I want to be a mommy and stay at home wife. Until then I'm figuring it out. Working at the Gap has been a huge opportunity for me so far.. maybe I'll just try to work my way up in the company. School just never worked out for me
I want to be a professor and I want to write novels. I'm currently working on my PhD and writing as much fiction as I have time for, so I would say I am working toward my goals. Neither of them are practical or stable, but I figure if I have the opportunities, then I should go for it.
I LIKE zat! =D
Hmmm. A blowjob tester in a high quality 'escort' agency. I kind of have the job that I've always wanted, though now I am more driven by not doing much, for the most money, and the most free time, so anything that gives me that.
LOL.
