When you are looking for new blogs to read, how do you go about it?

We all have one type of blog we prefer, how do you look for it?

...However, I do visit bloggers that comment on mine, follow me, or follow blogs I like. That is one of the main reasons I like to see a "follower" list on other blogs.

I like blogs with a lot of pictures (ones they have taken) and that aren't too wordy.
I find myself reading a lot of mom blogs and newlywed blogs.
And I of course read the blogs of those who comment on mine.

I just throw caution to the wind. I check out blogrolls of other blogs I love, browse around on here or other forums, randomly click links....you never where you might end up!

In college it was easy because I followed all my friends' blogs (which, now that I think about it, was really weird because we all lived in the same dorm). I've had a hard time finding blogs that keep me reading if they're not people I know or have a vested interest in.

With that being said, I love finding new blogs. I like ones that are clever with a conversational writing style. I get turned off when things are too busy because my brain does not compute. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
