Just wondering who pays 25 to have their blog promoted? Did it work?

I paid for Childhood Trauma to be put up there, but I think that's not going to go up until next month...which is in a couple days!  So I guess I'll let you know...

Well I was just featured blogger for a month, which involves having a large picture of my handsome face on the front page of the site, but have not really seen an enormous return.  I'm also a reprehensible douche bag who didn't post almost anything of worth during that thirty day period of time, so there's that.  In raw statistical data, I saw occasional spikes of like 30 views on days that I didn't do anything, and the number of people who subscribe to me has doubled, from six to a whopping twelve.  Non-douche bags may very well capitalize on such a system as this, but those like me are doomed to squander the opportunity.

haha, well, whatever works! Or doesn't?!?! :/

I paid about $20 for a 2-month sponsor slot on a blog, and it's been all right. I get an average of about 15 more views per day because of it.

I would if I could afford it :)

Agreed! Broke college student! :)

I haven't, but if it works, I might. I think I'm more dedicated blog I hear of through word-of-mouth or a Google search than from an ad I see somewhere.

I use the smell of fresh cooked bacon to entice new readers.

So you have the scratch n' sniff blog app?

No...I actually upload fresh bacon every day

I paid to have my advertisement on another blog for a few months. The hits that I were getting were good because obviously the people clicking through were interested in blogs. I guess it depends on how many hits you expect to get through it though, I guess I received about 70-100 per month through advertising on a bigger blog.

I've been considering it but haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid it'll just be a waste of moneh. :P
