Permalink Reply by Susan on January 2, 2012 at 7:09am Super glad I'm not the only chick with a major boner for AB. Sometimes I have to quit watching No Res with my boyfriend because I get bothered, hotly.
Permalink Reply by Shelly on January 1, 2012 at 5:59pm I'm going with Cat in the Hat. Not just for the whole "cat lady" thing... but gosh! He knew how to have a good time!
Permalink Reply by Katrina Camille on January 2, 2012 at 3:30am Hermione Granger.. Hands down. It might be weird but I seriously did grow up along side her because when I started reading the Harry Potter series I was the same age as the characters.

being hardcore AND making out in a cave with a handsome boy AND having one at home in love with me as well? YES PLEASE.
Permalink Reply by Susan on January 2, 2012 at 7:03am ARYA STARK! Winter is coming, bitches!
If you're not caught up on the Song of Ice and Fire books, don't read the following.
Why Arya Kicks Ass: Though she should be destined to marry some lord and run his castle, Arya survives on her own, defeats all matter of obstacles, and essentially becomes an assassin by the age of 11. Also? She is a shape-changer, and can go inside the minds and bodies of animals. Fuck yeah, Arya!
Seriously, anyone caught up on SoIF on 20SB? Or is the nerd contingent here lacking?
Permalink Reply by Tom on January 2, 2012 at 7:57am Love them! I'm a big fan of Jon Snow; I have a soft spot for the underdogs/unappreciated!
Permalink Reply by Susan on January 2, 2012 at 12:41pm Ahhhh! Did you read A Dance With Dragons?? Did you read the end??? I would be Ygritte if it meant knowing "You Know Nothing" Jon Snow for 10 minutes!
Permalink Reply by Gina on January 2, 2012 at 9:46am I stopped reading after the first (too sad about Ned), but this description of Arya (a character I loved even though she was young) makes me want to pick them up again.
Permalink Reply by Susan on January 2, 2012 at 12:40pm She just gets more and more inspiring as she becomes more morally dubious. You should start up again, especially since you like fantasy. The second and third book are pretty bloody, but the storyline of Dani, Arya, Jon and Bran more than make up for it. Also? The Lannisters and other characters get point-of-view chapters that are REALLY interesting.
I end up skimming the chapters focused more on battle plots and let my boyfriend fill me in on what matters while I pursue the more interesting characters. I would be happy to fill in the plot holes of any chapters too miserable to read for anyone else!
