The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Just read a really great article on Ed2010 on how blogging can give you some great writing experience but that people should not approach blogging with sky-high expectations... Apparently 20,000 people begin blogging each day... So today I am posing the question to the 20sb community: Why do you blog? For the experience? The hope of some greens? The love of the topic? But I like blogging a lot and I enjoy looking back at what I've written over the years. There are so many little things I would have forgotten if it wasn't for my blogs. Blogs are like living scrapbooks I think!

I blog for the awesome community, it's got goin' on.
And, most of all, I blog for me!!
I blog for a creative outlet. Plus, it gives me a place to put all of the photos I take.
I'm hoping that years from now I'll look back at my blog as a reminder to what my life was now.
Permalink Reply by Emma on August 23, 2011 at 6:01pm I blog because I like writing and I enjoy the process of putting blog posts together (choosing the content, choosing the pictures to match the content and so on). And, let's be honest, because I'm somewhat narcissistic and like the idea of other people taking time out of their day to read what I've taken the time to write ;)
I've no desire to become rich and famous off my blog, or even earn any money. I want to keep it as a hobby, not turn it into a chore.
ETA: 20 000 new blogs a day is a LOT!
Permalink Reply by Kayleigh Eneida on August 28, 2011 at 2:46pm I started blogging for a couple of different reasons. It serves as a way to help process my life. Writing is how I process things and so when I write about certain events or things that have happened to me, I learn more about them than I would ever learn if I just thought about, or even talk about them. It's also a way for me to just keep writing. My goal is to one day become a published author, and even though blogging may seem like a roundabout way to do that, one thing I have been told by many an English professor is, if you want to be a writer, just keep writing. Write something every day, be it a journal entry, a blog post, whatever. But always be writing. My blog is a way for me to do that. Even when I don't feel like journaling, or I don't have anything to add to a story I'm working on, I can always blog — even if it's about something totally random, like the number of hurricanes I've experienced in my life. :)
