The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I asked this once, like a millionty years ago, and it was a fascinating conversation, so I'm going to ask it again.

Tell me about your blog title. What does it mean? Why did you pick it? If you could change it now without confusing people, would you? To what?

Introspection is the self-observation and reporting of conscious inner thoughts, desires and sensations. It is a conscious and purposive process relying on thinking, reasoning, and examining one's own thoughts, feelings, and, in more spiritual cases, one's soul.

I picked the title because my blog is the observation of everything that I am: My interests, my thoughts, my stories, my education and my life.

My blog url is what I came up with quickly. I couldn't think of anything else. I'm not sure I'd change it, it fits even if it's generic.

My blog title works for what I blog about. It's our life, which is different from many of our friends.

I'm a pretty simple person.

Cinnamon Bubbles spawned from a inside joke, actually. :)

My personal blog is a reflection of myself and my husband.  Ever since the day I was born my Grandpa has called me Princess.  My husband, even though he's not on parole, was in prison for 10 years and that, obviously, consumed a huge part of his life.  When I asked which blog named he liked better (The Princess & The Parolee or The Princess & The Ex Con) he picked the first, which is what I was hoping for, because he thought it made him look like a "bad boy".  At this point, no, I wouldn't change it even if it wouldn't confuse anyone.

As far as my other blog, no, I love the name because it describes exactly what the blog is about.  EVERYTHING!!

What about you Gina??  I mean I understand why you named your blog what you did but would you change it?

I've thought about it, actually. I didn't realize just how daunting a task I had undertaken, and coming up with Fantasy Casts is exhausting. So, I fill with book reviews and movie comparisons and whatnot... but the actual Fantasy Casts are starting to get lost in the mix. I really ought to, since Fantasy Casts only make up like 1/4 blog posts these days.

Reasons I haven't:

1) I can't think of a cute blog name.

2) I don't want to make all new buttons/headers/etc.

3) I don't want people to get confused and think I stopped blogging altogether.

4) But mostly the first two. I'm really that lazy.

Thinking of a blog name is hard - I don't blame you! And it always feels so permanent to me too.

I totally agree!  It's hard to think of something creative, smart, fun, and all-encompassing without sounding trite or run-on-sentancey. :D

My blog title's a sorta play on "the Complete Works of St. Anselm." My last name's Anselmo, so... yeah. "Incomplete" because... I'm still blogging about stuff every week. I wouldn't change it. I usually end up regretting the blog names I come up with, but "the Incomplete Works of Anselm" is simple enough that it probably won't bug me later. Not too girly, not very cliche, not based on a trend, I'm not embarrassed to tell it to people (namely to guys), and it helps readers remember my name :)

My blog title is Every Woman, Everywhere. I changed it once so this is my second title, but it was similar the first time. My meaning behind it is that I blog about women's political issues and I think there are things that every woman everywhere deserves. Like living a life free of the threat of domestic violence or of being trafficked, having certain basic freedoms that are afforded to men (like being able to vote or being able to drive), things like that.

I'm not sure if I'd change it or not if I could. I've been wondering lately if I should expand my blog to be about more, but I'm not sure.

My blog title is Authentic Experience. A friend of mine used the tag "authentic experience" a lot on his blog for posts that had to with life related things, and I liked the phrase so much that I borrowed it from him.

My title is "Like a Bird"
It was originally taken from a poem I wrote years and years ago and about 2 years ago when I was trying to come up with a new name for my blog (when I decided to start blogging more seriously), it came to mind and made sense. I think it makes even more sense now that my blog has grown and changed more. Birds are obviously a symbol for freedom but they are also a personal symbol for growth and change for me and that's a lot about what my blog (and my life) has become about :) I would never change my name now, I'm too attached and think it fits me and my blog perfectly.

What's funny is I got the full title in my url: http://HERESTOTHEGOLDENDAYS.blogspot.com from a Drake Bell song. I really enjoy the song a lot, and it's catchy, and at the time that I started my blog, I was in high school, dreaming of throwing a huge masquerade ball one day (never happened), and in love with shows that had a lot of teen-geared stuff in it. Not so much Degrassi-style shows, but shows like Gossip Girl that had some sort of strange twist to them--you know, a view into a world I've never seen before.

That song by Drake Bell really fits it, and the actual title "Here's To Life" fit in with the theme really well. I write about life. All of my art encompasses the world around me, and to have a song like that in my mind whenever I came up with the title (as unoriginal as it may be) really seemed suiting. It still is in a lot of ways. I highly doubt I'd bother to change it anytime soon.
