The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I've posted photos of two different drapes that I'd like to buy. They are a big investment for me so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, see below!

Hm..tough choice, tough choice....this is why I make my own! lol
Depends on your furniture I think, but just on looks alone I'd go with door number A.
I would veto Choice A because it reminds me of circus tent stripes. Choice B seems like a more sophisticated and versatile option, with good texture. Although, I should confess my strong dislike for beige curtains. They seem so blah!
the second one! but if you can get a hint from the photo it also depends on how the rest of your room is. the first one is more bahamas/ boat house like. the second is more warm and home-y. if the rest of your house is like a log cabin, go for the first one. if you have a taste of sophistication, go for the second one. :)
I think I prefer the second set, but I'd have to see the room. Great taste though!
I like the second ones! In fact, I have ones that look similar and I bought them at Ikea and absolutely love them. Plus, they are so soft, sometimes i go and rub my face against them.
it does kind of depend on the room... but I really like the second one best. more simple yet elegant I think.
I am guessing that you have decided that both will go well with your current decor. That being said, I would go with the second ones.

However, you might want to consider how dark everything else in your room is. If the whole room is already dark the second curtains might be a little overbearing. The first choice (while I'm not fond of the strips) will bring a little more light to the room.
Thanks so much everyone for the input. My walls are a grey blue & it has a very light & airy feel to it. White trim, white slipcovered furniture, etc. so I don't think the second ones will be too dark.

@ Melly I'm dying over the circus stripe comment! Too too funny, I love that kind of honesty!
I like the first ones. I think they would go great with a grey blue wall, too. (Although they both would.)
Am I the only one that's shocked nobody has left the comment "does the carpet match the drapes" old joke here?
Ahahaha! Thank the Lord for UrbanDictionary.com

For everyone else that's innocent or living under a rock like me, here's what it says when I googled does the carpet match the drapes:

A question used to indicate the belief that a woman's hair is dyed. "Carpet" being the pubic hair and "drapes" being the hair on her head.
"Check out that hot blonde over there. Do you think the carpet matches the drapes?"

And for what it's worth, I have smooth hardwood floors on both counts. ;-)
Mmm, hardwood floors are nice.

Seriously, I can't believe you never heard of that phrase!
