Wish Tree!!

So when I was in DC this past weekend I saw a 'wish tree' in a sculpture garden. It had a box with tags and pens and you wrote down a wish, tied it to thr tree and then once a month someone gathered them all, sent them to the woman who came up with the idea and she then... ok.. I'm not sure what she does but I thought it would be an interesting idea if everyone could post their wishes. They ranged from 'A cure for HIV/AIDS' to 'Graduating college'.
I have the photos I took that will be posted on my blog late next week and they're really interesting.
My wish was for everyone else's wishes to come true. Reading all of those peoples' wishes that were so heart felt really made me think about my life and how I have MORE than what I need that I don't need to wish for a thing more. Although, graduationg college earlier than expected would be nice ;)

Just FYI the whole concept is Yoko Ono's ( the dead John Lennon's conceptual artist wife). It's part of her Imagine Peace Project.
The letters are gathered and sent to Yoko Ono Peace Tower in Iceland (a memorial to her late husband) ,where they become part of a larger collection.
There are actually times when you just whisper your wishes to the tree instead of writing them. During the winter months I think.
I wish usually to cure greed, it's the root of all evil and the reason that there are still starving people in this world.
