Wordpress 2.8
Wordpress 2.8 was released yesterday. I've just finished upgrading Dan's Adventure to run on it. Backing up and running the auto upgrade took less than 5 minutes and was completely painless as all my plugins work with it :)

I love that the upgrade went so smoothly. I was watching the video about the new features while it was upgrading. I kind of fell in love.

I mean, as much as I love writing and coding websites all day... when it comes to blogging, I absolutely loving having a great interface to work with. Plus, if I want to tweak (or completely redo) my php for my theme, I still can!

I would advise downloading the theme and customising it locally then FTPing it to the server. That way you've always got a backup in case something goes wrong.

Well that's the problem...I'm not much of a tweaker. I want to be, but I don't know enough quite yet.
Excellent advice though. Gotta remember that when I'm playing around :)

I'd definitely be willing to help out. I took a basic 3-col theme (which was content-sidebar-sidebar) and turned it into my current theme. All of which I did locally then FTPing as Dan recommended.
I'll try to get my netbook up and running (aka reinstall the wireless drivers) and we can meet up for coffee sometime and do some tweaking. :)
