The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Lately, I have come across several blogs that are primarily pictures-oriented posts. These are fun to gloss over, especially when the text is minimal. However, I usually prefer thick, wordy blogs. With my own blog posts, I have to constantly remind myself to add a picture for all the "visual readers" out there.

What kind do you blog do you prefer? And which category would you say your blog is in?

I don't really have a preference...I actually have two separate blogs. One is my regular blog which sometimes includes visual aids and the other is a photo blog. I found that separating them and keeping consistency was the best method for me. I've left both links below!

Funny, I just started a 'Daily Photo' category which lets me post everyday. If I see a blog that is just paragraph after paragraph about the most mundane events, I usually don't continue reading. Photos spice a blog up.
I usually like a mix of both photos and context. Unless the writing is compelling and it makes me stop and read, then I will not mind not having pictures.
I love pictures when they are relevant to the post. However, you will find none in my blog. I mostly use this to deter my parents and relatives from reading it.
Well my posts average to be a paragraph or two. I tend to enjoy reading shorter blog posts, so as a blogger I try to produce something I would actually read. I'm also a pop culture blogger, so if I write something about Lindsay Lohan, I include a picture of her. I begin each post with a picture.

That's how I am. If it's relevant, I like to put a picture or two! :)
I'm definitely a visual person, always have been. I am that person that buys the fiji water instead of generic- just for the bottle. So needless to say, I'm more into blogs that have loads of photos and and photo inspiration. And I'd have to say my blog is in the same category. But hey, it's my blog- and that's just what I'm into :)
The beauty of blogging :) You can make it your own.
And for the record, I really like your blog.
I'm with you Jena. I'm totally into thick, wordy blogs! Although it get's me really behind in my reader... I love stewing over someones post for a while and i love imagining what they are writing about.

But I've always been big on reading and enjoy good writing and I don't like how some people distract their posts with tons of pictures. Although I must give credit where credit it due, some bloggers post some amazing photo's and I'm glad they do!

But for the most part if you're a good writer I want to read and read and read, not scroll through your photo album. (unless of course it's awesome =)
Glad I'm not the only one! :)
I prefer words! I think they are more interesting than photographs.

Most blogs I've seen that post a lot of pictures tend to look cluttered/messy and without focus, which is a little too much stimulation for me as a reader.
that's exactly how I see it. I tend to get disinterested quickly with heavy picture-oriented posts.
Welp, I think you know where I am on this one. Lol. Although, I tend to be a bi-polor blogger when it comes to this, somtimes it's all writing, no picture. Or it's mostly pictures.
