The Bloggers With The Most To Say

First of all, if you don't know what a moo card is.. well, it's like a mini business card. You can put a picture on one side and info on the other. But I wouldn't use it for business. I was just thinking of giving it out to friends, maybe if a guy I meet wants my number that would be a cool way to give it to him, you know? (What am I talking about, when has a guy ever asked for my number?)

Anyway, it's going to have my name, number, email address... and then I couldn't decide if I should put my blog on it or not. I mean, my blog is a part of me but do I want complete strangers going there? Granted, complete strangers already go there... It's either that or I was going to post a link to my flickr page, where all my pics are... and there's a link to my blog there too.

Do you see why this is a conundrum? This is why I pose the question to you - would you?

I didn't use Moo... but I did buy mini business cards solely for my blog. When I meet people, it does come up in conversation, so this is an easy way for me to let them find it later. I also tend to blog about concerts I go to and have been meeting some local bands, so I plan on giving them a card if I plan to write about them (and generally I include videos of the show).

One thing I did with a personal card -- I have full sized business cards that have my name, my email address and my personal website on it and that's it. It's designed nicely -- I've got stars to match my site and it's got a pink background... I like them. :) But this way I can give people my info and add in other things if necessary, like my phone number... I don't keep my blog secret, but I've decided to keep it separate from my personal site for now.

Personally, I like having two separate cards. I can give out my personal card to people like potential employers, and I can give out the blog card to others.

Here's a picture of them: http://twitpic.com/7yuhi
Oh I see. Hmmm... well my blog never comes up in my conversation and I don't blog about much interesting, lol... but I'm glad it works out for you! :)
On one hand it would be kinda cool to give to a guy that you just met because we guys like something different every now and then. Everytime a girl has given me a number she either puts in my phone herself or left an awkward note after a crazy night. So that card would catch a guy off guard.

But on the other there are some CRAZY men out there an opening up to a stranger would do a little research on you before the next time you see him.
Hmmm, so maybe I should just leave it with name and number?

I was also thinking that the front of the card would be just you know a picture, something generic that I've taken (a bridge, building, etc)... but on the back, with my name and number, maybe a teeny pic of me. Maybe even the pic that I'm using right now as an icon. So people can be like, ohhhh yeah... her!
Maybe you could actually have one of each type. One for someone you feel a trust for and one for someone your not quite sure about. The artistic part you were talking about sounds pretty cool. My wife likes to take artistic pics. She might actually start makin these cards if I tell her about it.
Yeah you should tell your wife. Here's a link to some of the moo cards I made up and got today (but they have my website and everything and that's when I started to think that maybe I should make a second batch):

Hmmm.. name and phone number seems so empty. Name, number and email?
Definetly the email too.

Thanks for the info on the cards she will prolly love it alot.
Cool!
I met someone at a conference last year who had moo cards with their URL and each one had different photos they took. It was such a great way to showcase their photography and get their blog out there!
I have blog business cards They have my name, URL, email and Twitter address.

I initially got them for the BlogHer conference last year. But I attend social media networking events and blogger meet ups here in Chicago so it is a great way of keeping all info in one place instead of writing things down. Plus, if I meet people who I think might be interested in my blog or potentially working with them, I will give them one.

Calling cards on another hand would be a good idea. Minus the URL, obviously. Just name and number and maybe email.

It all depends on who you want seeing your blog. Or like Rini said, have two. A blog card and a calling card.
