I already have the answer ( well my opinion in my blog waiting to hit the publish button.) I was pondering about this last night when my friend was wishing she could erase her memory like that movie called " Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and wouldn't care if she couldn't remembered anyone. (she's definitely going through a tough phase) The movie is pretty sad/silly/happy ending type of movie. Anyway, I just wanted to see other perspectives about the topic.
So, would you rather lose all your old memories,(including sad, bad moments, great, embarrassing, amazing, breath taking), or never be able to make new one?
Lose all old memories. Like Paul said, if you couldn't remember the past, surely you wouldn't miss those memories. And besides, starting from a clean slate does intrigue me a bit. There's a lot in my past that I'd love to forget and very little that I'd like to keep. So the decision wouldn't even be that difficult to make.
Ohh, a thinking questions. I have a tendency to dwell on the past, so I think ONLY being able to remember old ones and not create new ones would drive me insane.
