The Bloggers With The Most To Say

What items have you come across at garage/yard sales that have reminded you of your childhood?

What's really weird is that on my Memory Monday post from last week, I did Ty Beanie Babies as the Fad. I said that my favorite was Chocolate the Moose, and low and hehold when I went to a gigantic consignment shop in Charlotte this past weekend, there was a little tiny basket of about 5 beanie babies. Guess which one was in there? Out of ALL the beanie babies that were made, my favorite was in the basket. And it was only $3.25. DId I get it? No. It was just really awesome.

I remember going to Goodwill about 4 months ago and seeing a board game I hadn't played in 15 years. It was my favorite game growing up and so....I bought it. Do you remember this??
At a yard sale last weekend, I found 2 large tubes of POGS and a tube of all slammers - 50 cents a tube. I got all 3. I'm thinking that maybe I can use them for an art project of something....or I can teach a whole new generation of children how to play..
At a church garage sale a year or two ago I saw the game "Pretty, Pretty Princess" for a quarter - I had to buy it. :P
I came across a whole basket of Ty Beanie Babies that were going for a dollar. I couldn't bare to pass it up. Yea, I know I'm a guy. But they do remind me of when I was a kid. This one find, more than doubled the size of Ty collection. Those things were so expensive, we didn't buy many when I little.
I went to an antique mall a couple months ago and came across a Skip-It and a Ren & Stimpy t-shirt. Antiques they may not be but they certainly bring back memories.
I found a game of Dream Phone at a yard sale. That really took me back. And yes I did buy it, and put batteries in the phone and play it :)

Loved that game!!! Who can forget the Zack Morris sized pink phone!!

Its All Random

A sick pair of ZUBAZ! Yahhhh
I actually recently moved, and in one of my boxes i found a carebears slammer, it's not from a yardsale but was still pretty crazy to find
A huge New Kids on the Block poster. Ohhhhh yeeeeaaah.
I would have squealed like a little girl! I still have one of mine all rolled up and stuffed in the back of my closet somewhere. I'm seriously considering framing it and hanging it back up.
I was at Goodwill and came across a stack of Berenstain Bears books. First book I ever read was the one about Brother and Sister Bear's messy room. Brought back a lot of memories...
