The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I'm having a lot of trouble getting followers despite being anonymous. Does anyone else struggle with that? Do you have any suggestions?

Because of my employer and my crazy MIL, I have to blog anonymously.  While I would love to be 'out there' I just can't be.  I'm really strugglingg to get readers, even though I blog quite frequently.  I do have some close friends and fellow-military spouses who read regularly, but I have less than 30 readers!  I grant permission to everyone who wants to read it, how do I reach out?!

Oh honey I can relate to the crazy MIL.  I'm so relieved to have an anonymous blog now so I can vent about her if I feel like it without worry of being "caught".

I'm having the same problem!  I decided to blog anonymously because I'm blogging about a part of my life that I don't normally share with people.  However, I thought it would be interesting for people out there to read.  What I would love is to have a blog that gets discussions going and gets people sharing their opinions.  But at the moment, no one reads it!  hahaha!

I am ALL FOR Anonymity with blogging. But there's a difference between being a nameless pile of pixels or a blogger who refuses to announce to the world where she lives and selectively discloses others names.

I still use all of my own pictures and I often showcase my life, I just choose how personal I let it all get.

My blog is linked to another site I use frequently, semi-anonymously. No one who reads my blog knows my real name. I also read other blogs and leave comments, which bring in traffic. I blog for me, mostly, so it doesn't truly matter how many people read my blog... but I do like numbers!

I've been blogging for over a year, and I only have 31 followers, but I don't mind because I know that the majority of them reads every post I write, and they usually care about the things I have to say.  I'm not sure that would be true if I had 200 followers.

I think a great way to get readers, being anonymous, is to read and comment on other blogs for sure! Otherwise how do we know you're out there!

Wow guys, just joined this community and this group and I totally relate! I have to blog anonymously too. Last night I posted my latest blog post on Facebook page and I got such heat from it that I had to tear it down. I'm now totally anonymous. I've created a separate Twitter account and Facebook page dedicated to the House Poulette. I guess it's like starting from scratch. But I still tell all my friends via email or whatnot about the blog to get them on it. I guess also being active in these communities and reading and commenting constantly helps. Glad to know you all feel the same way though!
