The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I haven't ever experienced a white Christmas, and to be honest, I can't imagine my Christmas any other way!

So, I thought I'd think of all of my favourite things about summer Christmas...
- The sun
- Spending an afternoon in the sun
- Wearing summer dresses!
- And rubber thongs (which all the non-Aussies will probably laugh at :)
- Eating the turkey cold
- With salad
- And having a pavlova with a whole bunch of berries
- And possibly some frisbee at the park

Yes! You can't go wrong... what do you all love?

I spent my early years in Colorado, so had a couple of white Christmases. My vote is summer Xmas all the way:

- barbecue is waaay better than roasts
- summer holidays during Xmas and New Years
- reading Christmas books at the bach in the sun
- fresh strawberries
Sometime's we'd catch the ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island and get sunburnt on the deck. Awesome. And sit out after a BBQ with a glass of wine ... all night. Magic.

Had our first Christmas in Europe - in Prague, 2006. Freezing.

It snowed on the 27th and we had one awesome, champagne-fueled post-Christmas snowball fight though. That was great.
Hmmn.....all the same things as you really. Especially the pavlova part. Although buying a kiddies pool from Kmart to splash about in and keep cool is also fun. Also really cold beer and champers before midday (not together).

I have had a white christmas... when I lived in Ireland it snowed on Christmas day. It was the only day in the entire time we were there that it snowed and yep - we were out playing in it and making snowmen - even though there wasn't that much snow. It was lots of fun - and surprisingly not that cold. I would love to experience christmas in New York though.
hi everyone! new here. my favourite things about summer christmases are,,,,

1: pavlova!
2: new pairs of jandals
3: bbq & cold leftovers in the sun, with a nice glass of wine, on boxing day
4: backyard cricket with all the relatives
Oh I def agree. I've never had a white christmas and I don't really want one. I love that we have summer holidays then and my chrissie tradition is all my mates come round after the family do's for a bit of a drink and eat leftovers. Hanging out in the backyard doing that on a hot summer night is the best thing ever. I can't imagine that being as great if I was freezing my arse off!
All I am going to say is that Christmas in the summer is right. I can't think of specific things to list that make it so, it is just perfect because it is right.
