While there's a lot of talk about how the current crop of college graduates can't afford to live on their own, there still seems to be a stigma attached to being a twenty-something who lives with Mom and Dad, even if it's for practical reasons.
I get the feeling sometimes that when I mention living with my parents, the person I'm talking to looks down on me, as if I'm still a child. It makes me want to say, "I'm working two part-time jobs, going to graduate school, live in Los Angeles, and have a 70-pound German shepherd - where am I supposed to go?"
I want to move out on my own (some days more than others), but it's just not feasible right now. Anyone else want to challenge people over this?
