Has "lol" gone to far?

I always found it funny that originally it meant 'lots of love'... or, at least, my grandmother has been seen to use 'LoL' on various emails -- and she certainly doesn't mean 'laugh out loud'.

I blame the children!

This week I learnt a new word... 'deets', which is short for 'details'. Or, apparently anyway.

It does sound kind of cute. But at the same time it makes me want to gouge their eyes out with a rusty spoon.

just say not to deets ant its almost just as long as details so does that even shorten anything up?
