The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So I know that its probably taboo to even mention the "B" word but I just have to ask! I won't lie... a few years ago during my experimental college days a girlfriend and I went to the beauty supply store and got a box of bleach and went home to attack my head. It burned so bad and in the end I was left with a funky brassy blonde color and irrepairably dead hair. Sure when I went out I got a few more stares but I think its more because people saw me and thought "WTF?". Needless to say after a week of torture I went back to brown and have been happily brunette again ever since.
Anyone else have crazy hair meltdowns?

I went "B" a few years ago by bleaching; it actually turned out to a very nice color. I had it professionally done so I can't say I tired blonde in a box trick, though that sounds scary enough right there. It wasn't long before I had my hair re-colored back to brunette because it just wasn't right for me, plus the attention that I got being blonde vs. being a brunette was ridiculous and to some degrees almost sick. As brunettes the only stereotype we have to deal with is that we are smarter , I was covering my hair with headbands and anything I could get my hands on to minimize the attention. Ehhh, so every now and again I might do semi-blonde high lights to accent my hair but other than that, I enjoy being just me :o)
nope!!!! never would consider going blonde. most i've ventured toward the other side is some highlights. can't do it!!!
I went blonde back in highschool. I had it professionally done for prom. Not sure why I wanted to be blonde for prom. I guess I had a major lapse in judgement. But that was about 6 years ago. I've been brunette ever since! :)
What is it with prom bring out the crazy in us?? I totally rocked blue highlights (don't ask!!) for prom one year!!!

Well that was only to match your dress! No worries! ;-) haha! I TOTALLY would (and maybe SHOULD) have done the same thing! At least then I'd have fun prom pics to look back on! :-)

I've had bleached highlights done by a friend that turned out pretty good, but I let them grow out and for years didn't do anything else. I tried them again at the beginning of this summer and like them well enough, I added red not to long ago, so I'm rather tri-toned right now, but over all it still looks pretty brunette unless you are close, so that makes me happy :) and i'm just gunna let it all grow out once again and return to au naturale. :)
Oh hell-to-the-no. I would ridic as a blonde. I have evidence -- my little sister who looks like my twin did it once. She did it for a play she was in, and she is all kinds of punk rock, so it's not like anyone ever expects her hair to look natural against her skin. But for me -- no way.
I actually had to go blonde for a theater show I was in. I had always wondered what I would look like but never had the guts to try until this summer when I had to. After 2 bleachings and a color, it turned out to be a golden honey blonde. I got A LOT of compliments (go figure!) and enjoyed it for a few months but decided to go back to dark brown because I wanted to feel at home again. I love having my dark hair back because it suits me better. It is who I am.
I wanted to be blonde when I was younger because my sister was. My first experience with blonde highlights went horribly wrong. I ended up with a huge skunk-like streak at the top (I guess I left it on too long). Then I had to get it dyed back to brown at a salon. Last year I got blonde highlights a few times but the upkeep became too expensive.
I have been blonde before...and red and black and I think at one time even blue. My hair color used to change all the time, but I haven't died it years. The last time I went blonde it made my hair break so bad that I ended up cutting it super short. I eventually died it back to my natural dark brown and haven't dyed it since!
I tried once it just didn't do anything for me.
I do love my blonde highlights, but I'm just not lucky enough to have the platinum blonde hair that my little sister has. Honestly, I'd LOVE to try it just for a fun change, but I'll always be a brunette at heart. Oh yeah, that and my stylist said she'd never let me go fully blonde. It would just kill my hair. =(
