The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I'm assuming you've all read at least a little Jane Austen, right? I believe that is actually one of the requirements to being a brunette... otherwise the powers that be might show up at you door with a box of bleach, and whisper "It's time!"
Anyway, I am wondering what you all look for in a partner, whether it's completely shallow, or something REALLY important?
Also, has anyone else ever encountered some not very polite behavior from a prospective partner and thought, "Well, maybe it's just a Darcey complex"? Or is that just me :) ?

Yes I believe it is
1.Don't act like ditz
2.Be Mysterious
&
3.Read books(i.e Jane Austen)

I look for someone is different, doesn't follow the crowd. A man who has the guts to be who he is no matter what people think.Someone who loves to read, play music and can make fun of himself. A strong guy with the good sense to have a healthy debate about a wide range of topics.
Now when it comes to looks...I lean towards the tall dark and handsom type but blonde blue eyed guys have stolen my heart a few time.

Yes, I have encountered some rude behavior and I thought "What a douche!", after a horrid first impression it becomes very difficult to see anything else.
Ahh yes every brunette needs a little Jane Austen in her life!

I look for humor first in a guy if he's not making me laugh then what's the point? I tend to fall for dark hair, dark eyes, big arms and shoulders but a softer tummy (real men have a litle something to grab 6-packs are for beer:o) ). Have dated a few blonde guys but there's always something missing with them at least for me that is.
I tend to date tall, brown hair/eyed guys. I agree with Rachel, if they can't make me laugh then I am not interested. I like to go out and explore, so I am looking for a partner that also enjoys that. Someone who can keep the conversastion going, sticks up for what he believes in (push overs are no fun), and who is respectful. I go for nerdy guys with a little quirk...also, hardworking and determined.

I don't like liars, control freaks, cheaters, way to jealous, non motivated guys...been there, done that!
Every brunette should definitely have some Jane in her. Whether you love Darcy or Captain Wentworth (my favorite) - it's nice to have that idea of the right man floating around in your mind. What to look for in a partner? Reading is at the top, along with education, communication skills, manners.... I think well-rounded and smart are good terms to use. If Jane Austen were living in our generation, I wonder how she would create the perfect man, what characteristics would she deem suitable?
Well, I legally changed my name to "jane" when I was four because I loved hearing Jane Austen among other reasons.
But lets see:
He has to be taller than me, and stronger. I like to feel like the guy can protect me. He must love reading and writing as much as me. He has to love music. He must be smart and able to handle money in a mature way. Other than that... I don't care!
Love, love, love Jane Austen! Also, as much as I love and adore being a brunette and would never go blond, I tend to date guys with lighter hair and eyes. Is that weird? There's no one particular trait that I look for in a partner, there just has to be that something about them that makes me excited. That makes them the last thing I think about before I go to sleep, and the first thing I think about in the morning. I like guys that are bigger than me, that make me feel protected. I'm a big fan of cuddles, so he must be a cuddler!

Oohhhh, I must reply to this one. Because interestingly enough, I have a dangerous habit of really really being attracted to guys with .... BLONDE hair. I don't know why. But it's almost instant.

So, aside from hair color....I will reveal my other shallow point. A guy must be tall (I'm 5'10...it matters to me).

Other than shallow....he must be kind, know how to tease and be teased, and be ambitious.

He has to be my best friend and their has to be trust.

Okay so my shallow thing is I like blonde guys. It isn't a requirement...but it's usually a common denominator! Plus he must be tall (I'm 5'10 and it matters). Other than that, goal oriented and close with his family. I'd also like to date a guy who is creative in some way, even if in free time only. But that's just an ideal! :)
