The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I feel we should discuss something here... like maybe the basics and since I like lists in list form..

1. Favorite thing about the burgh?
2. Favorite neighborhood of the burgh? (Shadyside, South Side, Squirrel Hill)
3. Favorite thing to do in the burgh?
4. Favorite resturant/bar?

Feel free to add something else.

I guess I have to answer my own questions...

1. The shared love for all things Burgh. I've been all over the country and have run into people from Pittsburgh and there is that instant connection and shared love for the city. Can't beat that...
2. I'm a huge fan of Shadyside. I feel so snooty walking down Walnut Street.
3. Being on Mt Washington just taking the whole picturesque view of the city in.
4. Bar 11, Jack's, Quagmires (South Side)
1. Wow... explaining my favorite thing is actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. I think its how Pittsburgh is both a big city and a small town at the same time. It's big enough that its an actual metropolis, but small enough that by doing three degrees of separation, you know basically everyone you encounter through someone else. I do like that. And the pieorgies, of course.

2. The three listed above, for different reasons.

3. Just walk around the city with friends. Sounds lame, but its totally true, especially through the above neighborhoods.

4. Restaurant: Lulu's Noodles. Bar: Smokin' Joes.
1. My favorite thing about the 'Burgh is how unlike any other city it can be all the time. I've been to so many cities and I have never ever encountered one like Pittsburgh.
2. I love Bloomfield and Lawrenceville!
3. I love to walk through the South Side and window shop. I love the Allegheny Cemetery and walking through it for hours and hours.
4. Thai Me Up, Zenith Tea Room, and Tillie's Restaraunt
1. Everytime I get lost I find something awesome.

2. All depends on my mood, Lawrenceville is fabulous (and growing!), but I've recently moved to the North Side and it's really growing on me.

3. I work downtown and I get a kick out of just wandering around on my lunch and I love to meet friends for happy hour (someone is always willing to go).

4. "a"'s in Bellevue for breakfast, Madonna's downtown for lunch, and Sushi Tomo up north for dinner! Perfect day!
1. Favorite thing about the burgh? I guess the people! People in Pittsburgh are a lot nicer than people in California state (where I'm from)
2. Favorite neighborhood of the burgh? (Shadyside, South Side, Squirrel Hill) Hmmm... I never really get a chance to go much outside downtown/South Side since I go to Duq and don't have a car (and I don't really ride the bus either). So Southside is about as far as I can go within walking distance to get away from campus for awhile
3. Favorite thing to do in the burgh? Um. I wish I knew! I wish I had a car so that I could do more!
4. Favorite resturant/bar? Yosoko (Or Yokoso?) At the waterfront is delicious sushi. Nakama on the Southside is waaaaay overrated.
1. The fact that the city has its very own, distinct culture which is embraced by all who have experienced it.
2. Southside, Shadyside
3. Zoo, museums, Steeler games, people watch
4. Anything on Mt. Washington
1. I'm moving back to Pittsburgh next month and I am so EXCITED! There is nothing like Pittsburgh pride - I've lived in DC, Rochester, San Francisco and Boston - and no one has the love for their city like Pittsburgh does.
2. Shadyside
3. Bike/run, museums and eat!
4. Sesame Inn, Fiore's pizza, Saloon. This is a really sad list at the moment, but I spend most of my time eating mom and grandma's cooking when I'm in town so looking forward to rediscovering all the city has to offer when I move back.
1. The skyline. Is there a skyline much better than Pittsburghs?

2. South Side. You can find something to do in South Side, no matter time or date.

3. Outdoor ice skating at PPG Place. During the weekday afternoon. No kids to trip over.

4. Ruggers Pub in the South Side. It's far enough off of Carson to not be chock full of posers.
