We bought our first home 1 1/2 years ago and have been renovating ever since! It's an addiction. We're just starting a bathroom- come on over and check it out!

Finally, after 7 months of looking & making offers we closed on our first house! It's far from "move-in-ready" so I started a new blog about all of the demo, renovation and updating that needs to be done before we can actually move in.

I closed!! March 3rd!

There was SO MUCH DRAMA right up to the end. From the funding having to be cleared with not enough time, to the lender rushing and getting approvals so it would go through. To the funding ALMOST BEING PULLED after it was approved, to then finally closing and getting recorded (YAY!) only to go to the house and the LOCK BOX WAS GONE! To spending half an hour waiting to find out where the key was, to then finding out it was on the door frame BUT THEY LOCKED THE BROKEN DEADBOLT so then it was waiting 30 minutes for a lock smith..

But I got my house. :) We moved in the POURING RAIN but my things are here, I'm finally getting more settled in and I'm realizing all my "projects" really do have to wait a bit because I'm down to $11 til pay day. Fun stuff.

I have a roof over my head - a roof that is MINE. So I am happy, despite everything.

Oh but the stress did land me in the ER after passing out in the pharmacy. Yeah... good times.
