The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hi! Hi Hi! I just moved to your wonderful city, and started a blog about the process of transferring myself here. I've been busting my ass trying to find good Chicago blogs to read, and when I found this group, it was like magic. Love at first click.

So, can't wait to read everything you guys are producing. Quite lovely. (waves hullo)

And now for the discussion part: what do you recommend to someone new to the city? Where I NEED to go, what do I NEED to see, etc. I don't want to feel like a lost tourist kid anymore. :)

Definitely take Molly's advice about Twitter. You can get great advice about things to do that way. What area are you living in? That would be an easier way to narrow down what's fun to do in your neighborhood.
Welcome to Chicago!

I'm going to third Molly's advice. Chicago is a hard city to narrow down because there is SO much to do. Twitter is a great place to find other Chicagoans and get ideas, etc. Also, check out Guidespot. You can do a Chicago search and find ways to spend a day cheaply, free wi-fi, how to be a geek, etc. There's a ton of info there.

Also, watch out for Chicago blogger meet-ups. GREAT way to meet people and visit a new place. I'm sure many of the bloggers would be happy to show you around.
Millenium Park, Museums, Navy Pier...just spend time walking around the city and soaking it all in. I recommend using Yelp.com, I live by it!! You can find places to eat, shop basically do everything and you don't have to go blindly you can read reviews about it first!! I've been here 5 years and still felt like I haven't seen nearly enough. ENJOY!!
