The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Luckily, there's only been one or two that I've picked up and read and by the time I had finished, couldn't figure out why I bothered to finish it in the first place! The one that stands out though, was called Tart, by Jody Gehrman. It was weird, I loved everything about the book (the cover, the plot, the secondary plot and characters...) except for the main character herself! It was really the first time I couldn't identify with anything she was going through or feel any empathy towards her.

How about you? Any books you've read that you would suggest NOT reading?

I hated the "Courtesan" series by Claudia Dain. Everyone who likes the books says they like the main character, but I think she is annoying and unrealistic. The author does so much telling about her and no showing; I feel like the character is this vapid pasteboard stand in for a real person.

Oh I liked Wags Diary! I've been really dissapointed with Sarah Webb's books. Didn't like lipstick jungle and can never get going with anything by Freya North.

Emily Giffin... I read through two of the "Something Blue" books... and hated them. Loathed, was bored by, actively disliked.

And yes, I realize that that may be a dangerous stance to take in this group - please don't hold it against me!

'Does she or Doesn't shoe?' By Alisa Kwitney! It was torture for me to finish it.
