The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Giveaways?
What do you guys think about giveaways? I'm starting to do a little bit more with my book reviews (er.. trying, at least) and I have some good ideas. I have the new Kate Jacob's book (the 3rd in The Knitting Club series), signed, which I'm thinking about raffling off, but I thought it might be cool to email her and see if she's willing to donate anything for a giveaway. Has anyone had any experience/ luck with this? It's all new to me!

I've never done a give away, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.
I don't think it would hurt to ask an author to donate a book. The worst she can say is no; it's not like she'll make her agent actively black-list your blog. Even if you can't get something donated, a book give away wouldn't se you back any more than twenty bucks, and people always want free stuff. -

Hi Melissa,
I usually find that the best people to contact for giveaways are the publishers of the books or the author's pr. If you agree to review a book they're more likely to offer you some for a giveaway, and send them directly on to the winners :) x
