i frequent the Speedway. 99cent coffee anyway you want it? heck yes!
Absolutly. Coffee is my passion and I want to learn all I can and educate my customers and readers. This is the reason I started my blog, Daily Demitasse.

I think my definition of "coffee snob" is different from most. Independent cafe's only please. I must know the stats of the roaster- harvest date, etc. preferably fair trade. Like a fine wine, the flavor of coffee should be in it's natural state to bring out the nuances from it's origin and farm, so straight black for me. Creating a traditional espresso drink is an art. If the drink isn't good, no point in topping it off with latte art.

I wrote my theory about what a "coffee snob" is over on my blog.

This is how I'm a coffee snob:
- I look down on "Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf"
- Same with "decaf" coffee (why even drink it?)
- I don't drink Lattes / mochas / cappucinos, etc. Only "regular coffee" for me!
- I refuse to pay more than $3.00 for coffee. (more than $2.00 is pushing it)

I'll drink "crappy coffee" though if it's free / incredibly cheap - a caffeine fix is a caffeine fix, amIrite?

I guess I'd have to say I'm particular, not so much a 'snob'.

I prefer lighter roasts, and if I'm buying stuff for my home coffee maker, it's always fair trade and organic...

When I'm around a local place, I'd choose it over a chain... but, Starbucks is one of the only places around here (aside from local shops) that offers soymilk (I know Caribou does, but we don't have those :(   )

Luckily in this city we have two different shops that roast their own, so it's pretty fresh.

And I'm definitely not opposed to flavored coffee or lattes.

Oohhh yeah. I realized I was a coffee snob when Folgers no longer seemed appetizing. When I started telling people "Oh, let me get you some GOOD coffee" when they were drinking grocery store brands and such. I can tell when a cup of coffee is good or not. But then, I doubt my coffee snobness because I'm sure if I went to France and tried to drink coffee there, my mind would be blown.

I prefer coffee enthusiast! I try to stay away from large coffee corporations, such as Starbucks, (though, being from the East Coast, I do dabble in  a Dunkin Donuts IF I'm desperate).
BNG is my favorite place to indulge in a cup. It's a congenial coffee shop in middle of the "down town" area where I live. It's where I do most of my writing, and caffeine consuming!

I actually talk a lot about my love of coffee on my blog.
