Talking About The Proposal Before It Happens
My boyfriend and I discuss almsot everything. One of those things include our future as an engaged couple. But we've been talking about it, a lot. The type of ring, whether he should talk to my parents first, when it would happen.
I wonder if we're sucking all the romance out of it. Maybe we aren't, since it's our style to talk everything out. But maybe we are. What do you all think?

It is nice to know that you both want marriage and are headed in that direction, but it is kind of weird to discuss every detail. You should have some surprises and not know exactly how or when he would propose! :) Just my opinion.

I think there are boundaries with this sort of topic, but I definitely think it's good to talk about it. My bf and I talk in generalities--if he should ask my parents, what kind of wedding, etc. Just, more expectations I guess, not planning it out detail by detail. I think every couple is different though, but keeping some for surprise can't hurt! =)
