The Bloggers With The Most To Say

so wassup with the D.C. nightlife scene. Why does everything seem the same...or wack...

maybe ATL spoiled me.

Anyway, I need suggestions for a sure shot place to have a good time. The Park @ 14th hasn't disappointed me yet (been 3 times)...but I need a fallback plan just incase.

I have heard great things about the Columbia hts area, (I have been asking people about the scene as I will be there for the summer)
There's lots of different neighborhoods with hip going out places, each with their own character.

My favorites are as follows:

Dupont Circle
Definitely a young professional vibe, very liberal and not too expensive. A couple of clubs, but I tend to go more The Front Page, Lucky Bar, Big Hunt, Madhatter's route.

Adams Morgan
A bit edgier (that's an understatement) than Dupont, my fave places are The Reef, Bourbon, Madame's Organ, Tryst and a bunch of small hookah places. Also, it's never a bad thing to end up at Amsterdam Falafel.

U Street
A cool mix of edgy and hip. Marvin, Solly's and Chi-Cha are favorites.

Columbia Heights and Penn Quarter are also cool, but I'm not as familiar with them. Hope this helps!
There's a bar called "wonderland" at columbia heights down irving. it's rated one of the best bars for dc singles.
it's always crowded, even on a wednesday afternoon.

check it out.
Going out?? I don't favor our nightlife in DC either but I will definitely try some of those suggestions next time I'm out and about....Wonderland, eh?
