Permalink Reply by Shannon Haslett on March 5, 2012 at 10:51am Working from home has advantages and disadvantages and many of us (prior to solely working from home) are blinded "by love" to the disadvantages. Most definitely, for me, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but there were things I hadn't thought of until I was immersed in it. So while I am a big advocate for working at home, also be sure to think about the disadvantages (loss of direct human interaction, loss of "small talk" to friends/family, loss of bonding via work discussions, sometimes people find they lose their motivation also because it's so, so easy to become distracted by your home and the tasks that need to be done around there instead of the work-work). So, don't think of this as a Debbie Downer post- just a friendly reminder :)
