A lot of people say that letting other people touch your decks takes some of your personal energy out of the deck or that afterwards you should cleanse your deck. I actually prefer to let the clients…Continue

The Heart of Faerie Oracle Review

I received my copy of The Heart of Faerie Oracle just over a week ago and have spent some time getting familiar with the cards.

I was a little reserved when I heard that there was going to be another Deck released by the Froud family but I am so glad that they released it. I really want them to turn their Runes book into a deck as well, (wink, wink) they would be amazing to work with.

There are 68 Oracle cards and a beautiful hard cover 160 page book. It has the same texture and smell (yes I like the smell of books) as the other deck. This deck was created as a way for people to connect to Faerie Wisdom to transform life and relationships.

The art work is simply breathtaking, Brian has always been amazing at what he does and the book has wonderful messages about the Fae and the cards.

There are nine Faerie Queens in the deck that represent nine different aspects of the feminine and the power of those energies. To compliment that there are the Queens' Consorts, nine male energetic representations. While these polarities work together they do not have to be read as pairs, they have their own messages alone.

I am going to fully bless the deck at the next Full Moon but I have been working with them, shuffling the cards and reading the book. The first card I pulled was card 64, which is The Gift. The Gift's message spoke:

"The three wishes you were given are a trick and a burden, the charming prince becomes a demon lover. The gift of wisdom comes from journeying long within the realm of Faerie. Looking, listening and being aware of the energies that surround you, prepare you for the gift of wisdom."

I was a little floored with the message with everything I have been through personally lately. I took it as a good sign that I am going to be able to connect with this deck rather easily. They really do seem to be able to get to the hear of the matter.

I would highly recommend this deck to anyone who loves the Fae and who loves the Frouds wonderful artwork (there really is nothing quite like their expression and experience of the FaeryWorld around). Pick up your copy from your nearest bookshop or Amazon.
