The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I've been to France three times in my life. First was when I was eleven and my mum took me to Paris to speak french before I started at high school where one of my classes would be french. Funnily enough, I never spoke any french there! We also went over to Brittany for a couple of days on that trip and stayed with some friends of my mum (she had lived in France and taught for a year when she was younger). I also went on a trip to Paris and Euro-disney with the school when I was thirteen or fourteen, and a family trip to Paris when I was fifteen. Not been back since - next time I go, I want to go to the south of France, although I would also love to go back to Paris.

I had to reply to you, Morocco is really not the place to go to speak Arabic. The whole Arab world speaks Arabic in each country's different style or dialect. I'm from Kuwait, where we speak Arabic but in the Kuwaiti dialect, which is very different from the Arabic that we use to read and write. Same alphabet, different pronounciations and words.

The Arabic you're studying I'm sure is the classic Arabic, which is used for writing and for formal use. If you ever get to travel across Arabic countries, you'll notice that they speak different 'languages', when in fact its different dialects, but they're so different they might as well be different languages. Usually the countries clustered close together, speak similary but not exactly the same. For example, Northern Africa (Tunisia, Morocco), Arabian Gulf (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain), Egypt, Syria & Lebanon.

Way off the France topic, but just thought you'd like to know. But the French will be of backup in Morocco as it is their second language.
I've been to France three time. First, in 2002 when I graduated high school with my family. We visited Grenoble and Paris. I studied abroad in Lyon during the summer of 2004 and also visited Nice and Chamonix. Last year, 2006-2007, I worked as a teaching assistant in Peronne, a really small town between Paris and Lille. I can't wait to go back!
My family loves France and we vacation there every summer (I know I'm so lucky). I've been to Chamonix, Paris, Cannes, and some cute towns by the Swiss border. Maybe more that i can't remember.
I was there for a month last summer (2007) and it was one of the best times of my life! My bf is actually from there so I was there visiting and meeting his family for the first time! I cannot wait to go back!

Part of my crazy backpacking adventure this past April occurred in France. I spent a week in Paris, hiking around and spending most of the time at Monmarte. What an amazing place. On my 21st birthday, my friends and I splurged and bought a bottle of Absinthe. We all got really drunk and ended up jamming with some old French guys at Monmarte (and none of us spoke French). It was an incredible experience, and I can't wait to go back..:-)
I would have to say I've been there a lil' over three times. I have an uncle who lives right outside of Paris in Neully-Plaisance,

so I would take a bus-RER-metro to Paris everyday. I loved it. My first two times I went during mid-winter break so that would be about Feb-Mar. Tickets were incredibly affordable, around $400 (no exaggeration). This past June is the first time I went during the summer, and it's beautiful. People are nice (but most likely cuz I was speaking in a British accent, I wasn't sure what they would say if I was American), food is amazing! Things to check out in Paris, Musee d'Orsey, the Catacombs, the touristic events of course. Also, I believe every other friday or so, LaFayette holds free fashion shows, all you have to do is make a reservation. If you want something out of paris, Mont St. Michel is cool to check out also.

I'm going to go back next year during the month of July for a small study abroad program. It's just a month long stay, but I got to say, I love it. It's true what they say, Paris is an addiction.

I went with my French class when I was in high school and absolutely fell in love with the country, the culture and everything in between. We toured the country for ten days, spending two days in the Loire Valley, three in Paris, one in Nice, Cannes, Monaco...I'm pretty sure it was the best experience of my life.

In November I'll get to go back for three weeks -- I'll be spending a month in the south of France writing, and I hope to spend a day or two in Paris before I come back home. I never, ever thought I would be able to do it...I would stay there if I could -- I would love to tour the country again as an adult.
I currently live in Paris. I am English and love Paris, and always will. I have been here 6 years now.
I love Paris, my dad took me for my first time after my high school graduation in 1999 and fell in love with the place! My parents moved to Paris 4 years ago, so I go over there so often the novelty of "Paris" has worn off and I love exploring new places outside the center of Paris such as Chantilly, Versailles, Thoiry.
I lived in France 2006-2007 for 9 months studying abroad in Dijon. I'm waiting to go back, patiently, but I can't wait!
I've been to France twice back in the mid-90s. Stayed in Rouen (North of France) the first time and second time I was in Paris. I can't wait to go back again. It's one of my favourite cities.
I went to France last summer with a group of my college mates and it was incredible! We spent the first four days in Paris, which was amazing and I have to go back to appreciate even more! I did not get enough time at the Louvre or the Musee d'Orsay!

Then we spent two weeks on canal boats on the canal du nivernais and just floated around, stopping by all the little towns and it was the best experience of my life! I would go back in a heartbeat!
