Who is your humor writing idol?

I LOVE Chelsea Handler. I recently bought Tina Fey's first book, "Bossypants" and I was seriously disapointed.

I am always trying to broaden my reading. Any ideas?

Chelsea's amazing. DOB from Cracked is awesome in the Internet comedy space, and so is Soren Bowie. Of course, Tucker Max is pretty great too.

It's a good question though because it's tough to find good comedy writers. Mostly because it's such a gamble publishing comedy books because it needs to have mass audience appeal. I'm interested to hear what other people have found.

I absolutely love Chelsea too! lol Gosh, I wish I could live like her. Only with much less vodka and more family tolerance for other cultures.

So 'Bossypants' is no good? wahh :( I'm reading 'I hope they serve beer in hell' by Tucker Max and I'm very into it.

I had really, really high expectations for the book and it was more about her career and her experience being famous so it sounded like A LOT of name dropping.

Don't get me wrong, it was funny but not as funny as I'd expected.

Chelsea Handler is great, I just finished her 3rd book. Chuck Klosterman is a favourite of mine, definitely read 'Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs", that's his best book so far.

Chelsea Handler..definitely hilarious, Reading Bossypants right now and liking it but I gotta say that Sarah Silverman's The Bedwetter has been my favorite.
