Help the Cause: Save Live, Eat Yogurt.

So, I was eating lunch at work today, minding my own business, when I took the foil lid off of my daily yogurt to find this. It's kind of hard to read in this picture, but it says this:

"Yoplait will donate $0.10 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for each pink lid recieved and code entered at SaveLidsToSaveLives.com by 12/31/11, up to $2 Million."

Go, Yoplait! Susan G. Komen for the Cure is my absolute favorite breast cancer awareness organization. Every Mother's Day my mom, sisters, and I participate in their annual 'Race for the Cure'. Proceeds from the day go towards finding a cure for breast cancer. It is a truly amazing event, and I strongly suggest you check to see if a race is held in a city near you.

Breast cancer awareness is especially important to me because it hits close to home. My mother's mother died of breast cancer when my mom was only 8 years old. My pap was left to raise eight children all by himself. Not only did he do an incredible job, by the way, but every single one of them, my mom included, went on to graduate from college and lead successful lives. How my mom was able to become the most wonderful, perfect mother I could ever imagine, having grown up without a mother of her own, I will never understand...
