The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So, who has seen it? What did you think? What was your theater experience? Did you dress up? Were you happy with the end, were you disappointed, what were your favorite parts? Share your thoughts in this thread and link to your blog posts about it!

I have a hard time forming thoughts at this point, I'm still processing and am looking forward to seeing it a second time.

I got pink lightening bolt earrings, dyed my hair purple, and dressed as tonks for the midnight premiere! My husband dressed as Neville and put Trevor (the toad) on his shoulder and made the sword of gryffindor, complete with fake blood.

I saw it at midnight too. I thought it was okay. To me it felt really rushed and like they sort of glossed over some important emotional moments so I didn't feel the emotional ramifications enough and I thought the scene with Molly and Bellatrix was all wrong. I did sort of dress up (I had to work right before, so I didn't have a lot of time) but did up my hair in braids with ribbons in Ravenclaw colors and wore my DA shirt and my Gryffindor knee high socks (I know I didn't match but ehhh I'm a Ravenclaw at heart but only have Gryffindor socks) and my DA necklace (run-on and bad grammar I know). I think my experience was really different this time because we didn't really have to camp out since the theater I went to has all assigned seats so we didn't have to fight to get good seats together. I was happy with the end and I loved it for what it was, but overall it was only okay (if that makes sense). I loved the room of requirement scene and the Gringotts scene the best I think. I didn't blog about it though. My husband didn't dress up at all, nor did my dad, but my sister dressed up as a Gryffindor.

The scene with molly and bellatrix bothered me too. I haven't fully formed all of my opinions on why, I'd like to rewatch it first, but I will say that it seemed so out of place! The room that scene was happening in wasn't shown much so it seemed random and like we were just suddenly there only to see that one moment, entirely because fans would be mad and it had to happen, even though they didn't find a way to make it transition well.

assigned theater seats! FANCY!

I know! It's the theater closest to us and they just redid it maybe two years ago to make it an upscale experience. And I think it bothered me because Molly just seemed so much tamer than I expected her to be? I think that's the right words. And yeah, it had to happen, but now that it has happened, so disappointed with it.

I saw it .  I loved it.  I wore my Gryffindor colored hair ties.  I cried when Snape was dying.  All my blogging this weekend has been about the movie.

It All Ends

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Quotes of the Week

I saw it Friday night. I loved it, but wanted it to be longer and have more scenes, couldn't we have like 5 parts for the last movie? lol I cried when Fred, Tonks, Lupin, and Snape died and when Harry said hugged Hermione before going into the forest to face Voldemort. I didn't think Hermione or Ginny looked older at all in the Epilogue scene.

I'm sad the movies are over, it's so upsetting.

I only cried at the Resurrection Stone part, which surprised me.
I hated in the resurrection scene where we only looked at his mother and everyone was standing so far apart. Felt awkward to me
Oh gosh. In the book when he went out to the forest the only person he saw was neville, but that addition of Hermione in the film? that made me cry so hard! haha. "I'll go with you" ...oh god. So sad!

I know this is a little late...but after 7 Harry Potter late night premieres in the US I watched the 8th and final installment of HP in INDIA! I wrote a blog about it awhile back!
