I'm really glad I found this group. The majority of my posts are abou tthings that I think I *should* know by know but just...don't. Call it immaturity, call it the search, it's good to know that it's ok not to have everything figured out yet.

You know, a while ago, I would have been the first to say how unhappy I was with where I was in life. I don't really like my job, I'm living paycheck to paycheck, I still live at home, and a large portion of my money goes to paying off student loans and my car. But still, I look at all my other friends and all the family problems they have, and I realize I'm so lucky to have such a close family that I can depend on, emotionally and financially. I may not have it all together, but with them, I feel like i have it all. Maybe I'll be able to survive the 20's after all...

JJ: Go for it! My buddy went to PT school only to realize he wanted to be a doctor..so now he's close to finishing med school...I think that you always gotta go for your dreams even as cliche as that sounds. DO IT! You will never know if you don't..and you get one life..that's it. I really should be listening to my own advice. :)

I'm JJ and I've been working at a job I once described as my "dream job," only to realize that the job I've always wanted isn't quite for me. So now I'm thinking about getting into medicine, but the MCATs, the hard work, and the 8yr+ commitment required scare the crap outta me. I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do, but I'll regret it forever if I don't AT LEAST try to get into a Med School in the coming years.
