I'm currently not working and dropped my gym membership to save money. I still want/need to stay active, but I get bored with workouts easily, so I like variety. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do or what you've done to workout when not at the gym? Whether it be simply running outside, buying exercise tools and videos, etc... Thanks! :)
I love to run outside, because I go insane when I'm on a treadmill (where allergies have recently banned me to). With the constant new stimuli, I don't get as bored. The only problem is then I'm restricted to working out before nightfall, which can be tough. I get bored pretty easily, though. The other suggestion I have is to constantly switch it up. It's a lot harder to get bored when things are always changing.
Youtube.com has some great videos. If you are interested in yoga, there are some promotional posts by Gaiam. Also, there is a channel called yogatic. The instructor is named Ester. They are good videos, completely legal, and the instructer is very knowledgeable. Other forms of workouts are on there too, such as Zumba.
