What kind of music do you listen to when you work out? For me, I need to get pumped so I like hardcore stuff. One of my favs is "more human than human" by white zombie

Nice! Just added it to the new "Workout Tunage" page on the blog: http://inittogymit.com/workout-tunage/

I've already got my go-tos on there- Lady Gaga and both Girl Talk albums, Feed the Animals and Night Ripper!
I like "angry" music: rap, serious alternative music, loud, with a beat or awesome guitar line and I'm good to go. I also like the "pop" songs of the week/month/year which right now includes Lady Gaga and a bunch of rap though I have no idea who sings what. I definitely need to revamp my workout playlists to change them up a bit.

oh, and 80s music: Journey, Motley Crue, White Snake and even (cringing as I say this) Boy George's song from Billy Madison.
Same here!! I'm pretty much a southern belle in real life, listening to nice calm sweet normal music... but when I hit the treadmill it is mostly gangster rap. The more foul language and gunshots a song has the more it keeps me motivated. LOL... people get pretty shocked when they see my itunes playlists!
I have to switch it up.. I can really listen to anything- but lately I've been popcasting. It seems to keep me engaged and make the time go by faster!
depending on my mood/desired intensity, i'll listen to a range of pop, hiphop and screamy rock :)
My music ranges depending on what workout I'm doing, and 'when' in the workout I am. Warm-ups are softer, easier but still energizing music. Lately its been Kylie Minogue's "Come Into My World" and FatBoy Slim's "Right Here, Right Now".

I move into the harder, more active music as I go through the workout and cools back down for my wrap-up.
I'm a musician, so my workout mix is actually kindof embarrassing in how "bad" the music is. It's all guilty pleasure, top 40 stuff. When I'm working out, I'm all about Lady Gaga. I also have some Beyoncé, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson and, gulp, Britney Spears.
Mine's a mix of dance, pop and metal. :) It just depends on what mood I'm in and what I like.. I have a playlist that I'm loving at the moment that mixes Rammstein's Links 1234 with All Saints Rock Steady and Roman Flugel's Geht's Noch. I quite like some variety in my workout mix so I do tend to change it pretty much weekly..

The one thing that seems to be consistent throughout is that 90% of my music is from the 90's. That way I'm stuck in a sort of a timewarp as I'm pounding the pavement.. :D

xx
I'm always looking for new music... I love fast, up-tempo stuff with a good beat. Right now I love David Guetta, Cascada, Lady Gaga, Taio Cruz, Rhianna, and Dance Mix '95. haha

Also, for those of you who prefer a harder / angrier mix, Rob Zombie's stuff is awesome. I always run harder when I listen to Demon Speeding or American Witch.
I like to listen to anything with a good beat though a lot of the times, it's not enough for me. While the beat does help me get a good pace going, my mind starts to get distracted with how many calories I've burned, how many kilometres I've gone and how much time is left on the timer.

I find in order to counter that, I need something to keep my mind occupied. So, I like to do either one of two things. Watch some of my favourite tv shows (currently it's Stargate Sg1.. hahaha), or listen to worship music. Worship music seems to work wonders for me, because again, it's engaging my mind.
Dropkick Murphy's always pumps me up!
