Favorite Musical?

What's your favorite Musical of all time? Or, what musical would you like to be a star in?

Right now, I would totally be in "Mamma Mia!" I think because of the whole escapism aspect -- I mean, where better to go when life is cold and boring than to a sunny island in Greece where everybody magically falls in love?

I LOVE Hairspray! I've only ever seen the film version, but I have a feeling my life would not be the same without it.

Singin' In the Rain is HANDS DOWN my all time favorite musical. I would've also loved to star in it alongside Gene Kelly.

I think Thoroughly Modern Millie takes it for me. I mean i like alot of musicals but that one really stands out as a favorite. Legally Blonde comes in a close second, with Avenue Q in third.

Yep, One of my favorites. My BF actually got to work on costuming for a college production of it and i was hooked ever since.

Into The Woods. I'm a complete Sondheim-obsessed musical fan, but Into The Woods is my favorite... followed VERY closely by Assassins. Only Sondheim can make John Wilkes Booth sexy.

I can't decide: Here would be my top 5: Wicked, Rent, Newsies, Guys and Dolls, Grease (Wanted to be Bad-Sandy since I was born), Mama Mia (Ahhh ABBA) I could go on and on!

Mine is a three-way tie between Rent, Wicked, and Spring Awakening, but SA is mainly on there b/c my little sis was in the First National Tour. :)

My two fav would have to be Wicked and this may sound cheesy but The Lion King. I think they were both done very well. I've also seen Evita, Spring Awakening and Monty Python and the Holy Grail..all of which I LOVED!! I'm waiting to see Phantom of the Opera in May. That one will probably be my fav fav once I've seen it. My boyfriend wants to see SpiderMan which is supposedly coming out in Feb. 2010. Saw a sign for it in NYC..so might be making a trip up to see that but he also wants to see The Lion King so its a toss up. :)
