What kind of Journalism are you into?
What area of journalism interests you the most? Current affairs. Sports. Entertainment. Travel news. Food critiquing?
Personally, I'd love to work in Entertainment Journalism. It seems like such a great job. I'd love to interview famous people and rub shoulders with la créme de la créme.
I'd love to be a movie/music/stage production critic someday too.

Eventually, I want to be a columnist. I always say I'd like to be Carrie Bradshaw, but with a topic other than sex. I attempt that kind of writing on my blog, using it as a columist-like opinion blog. We'll see what happens there.
As a newspaper reporter, currently, I prefer feature writing. Hard news and politically related topics are definitely not for me. -

I'm not a writer, and that's the way I like it (even though I can write -- that's what I got my degree in.)
That being said, I'm really into in-depth, documentary journalism -- photos and writing together. Think DMN. -

I'm not sure... I like the idea of writing about pretty much anything... EXCEPT sport and fashion..
Fashion - clueless. Too complicated. And I'm just not interested enough.
Sport - I know that sports journos are often among the most talented writers, but it's not for me! Even just subediting sports pieces is enough to put me to sleep... -

This is too funny because you just wrote what I didn't like to write about when I was in school.
It was amusing because at my summer session at the student paper, I wrote about both numerous times. And still didn't know what the hell I was talking about even though the articles were a success.
Now, I just take photos, and I love it. -

I'm not really a writer (I do page layout/design - love it!), either, though at my small-ish paper I do a bit of everything. My favorite is probably feature writing because you can get fun and creative (in writing and design).

I am the only reporter for my hometown newspaper so I cover everything from City council, government, entertainment, features, obits, crime, etc etc etc etc. and photographer. What I love is features and sad to say the fluffy stories. I don't know how many people I've helped by putting in a story about their fundraiser or cause that's helped them achieve their goals. It's an indirect way to help people.
At times I love it, and times I am so stressed out because I am doing 3 people's worth of work.
